  1. To prepare the acorn squash, cut the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Cut the apple, cranberry, and sausage into quarters. Place the quartered apples in the bottom of an oven-proof casserole dish. Fill the dish with the sausage and apple mixture. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
