+ 1/2 tsp turmeric
+ 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
+ 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
+ 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
+ 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
+ 1/4 cup butter
+ 1/4 cup white wine
+ 1 tsp saffron threads
+ Salt and pepper to taste

Festival Shrimp and Saffron Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups uncooked jasmine rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add rice, stirring to combine.
2. Cover the pot with a lid and let the rice cook for 18-20 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
3. While the rice is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, chili powder, turmeric, salt, and black pepper to the skillet, stirring constantly until fragrant.
5. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side or until pink.
6. Remove the skillet from heat and add saffron threads, parsley, and cilantro, stirring to combine.
7. Once the rice is fully cooked, fluff it with a fork and add it to the skillet with the shrimp mixture.
8. Stir the rice and shrimp mixture until well combined and serve hot.
