Steps

  1. How to Make Ginger Carrot Sesame Green Beans
  2. Ingredients:
  3. - 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
  4. - 2 carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds
  5. - 1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  6. - 3 garlic cloves, minced
  7. - 2 tbsp sesame oil
  8. - 2 tbsp soy sauce
  9. - 1 tsp honey
  10. - 1/4 cup chopped sesame seeds
  11. - Salt and pepper to taste
  12. - Fresh cilantro for garnish
  13. Instructions:
  14. Step 1: Prepare the vegetables. Cut the green beans into bite-sized pieces, trim off the ends. Slice the carrots into rounds, about the same size as the green beans. Peel and grate the ginger. Finely chop the garlic.
  15. Step 2: Heat sesame oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the ginger and garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  16. Step 3: Add the green beans and carrots to the pan and continue to stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  17. Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and honey. Pour over the green beans and carrots and toss until coated.
  18. Step 5: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped sesame seeds on top of the vegetables. Toss again to coat.
  19. Step 6: Serve hot with fresh cilantro for garnish. Enjoy!
  20. This dish is a perfect side dish for any meal and can be easily doubled to serve a larger crowd. It's also great for meal prep as it stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
