- 3 cups crushed bread (preferably made with white bread)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, and breadcrumbs. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
Step 2: In a separate pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and stir until it's smooth and well-mixed.
Step 3: Slowly pour in the milk, whisking as you go to ensure that everything is well combined. Add the cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
Step 4: Once the mixture is smooth, add it to the bowl with the meat mixture. Mix everything together until it's evenly distributed.
Step 5: Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 6: Pour the milk over the top of the meatloaf, making sure to cover it completely.
Step 7: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake it in the oven for 45-50 minutes.
Step 8: Remove the foil from the top of the meatloaf and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake until the cheese has melted, which will take about 10-15 minutes.
Step 9: Once the meatloaf is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
