Making Gramps Microwave Peanut Brittle Candies Recipe
===============================================
Ingredients
------------
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup light corn syrup
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
-------------
### Step 1: Gather all ingredients.
Gather the following ingredients: granulated sugar, light corn syrup, water, salt, and chopped peanuts. You will also need a microwave-safe mixing bowl and a silicone baking mat or parchment paper for the baking tray.
### Step 2: Mix dry ingredients together.
Combine 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of water, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a microwave-safe mixing bowl. Stir well until all ingredients are mixed.
### Step 3: Add corn syrup to the mixture.
Pour 1/2 cup of light corn syrup into the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix everything together until it is completely combined.
### Step 4: Microwave the mixture.
Cover the microwave-safe mixing bowl and heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the mixture turns golden brown. It should take approximately 2-3 minutes to heat through the entire mixture.
### Step 5: Pour the mixture onto a baking mat or parchment paper.
Remove the microwave-safe mixing bowl from the microwave and quickly pour the heated mixture onto a silicone baking mat or parchment paper on a baking tray.
### Step 6: Quickly spread the peanuts over the mixture.
Before the mixture cools, sprinkle 1 cup of chopped peanuts over it to help them stick to the candy. Be sure to spread them out evenly to ensure each piece is coated with peanuts.
### Step 7: Cool the candies.
Allow the candies to cool completely for at least an hour or until they are firm enough to break into pieces. Once cooled, you can store them in an airtight container to enjoy later.
