To do this, combine 1 cup (240 milliliters) of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons (25 grams) kosher salt, and 1 tablespoon (2.5 ml) red pepper flakes. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering, then add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Add the drained marinate and toss to coat. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until browned and tender. Serve with sour cream, if desired.
