  1. To make a tamale casserole, you'll need: 1 pound ground beef, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 2 tbsp. sour cream, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon kosher salt. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil; set aside. In large bowl, toss the beef with the remaining ingredients; season with salt and pepper. Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm.
