  1. To prepare wilted chard, cut the stem end off of a scallions and chop it into small pieces. Place the chopped stems and chopped leaves in the crock pot. Cover the pot with water and bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the leaves are soft and tender, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
