In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
