  1. To prepare a spicy soup recipe, add the following ingredients to the soup pot: 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped celery stalks, 1/2 cup chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon each paprika and cayenne pepper, and 1 tablespoon water. Bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the onions are soft, about 30 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and cook, stirring, until thickened, but not browned, 5 minutes more. Remove the pan from heat and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable broth. Simmer, covered, for 1 to 2 hours. Serve with tortilla chips.
