  1. To make a walnut rugelach, you'll need: 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 tablespoon kosher salt, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon nutmeg. Preheat the oven to 375?F (190?C) and grease and flour two 8-inch square baking pans. Set aside. In another large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Pour the mixture into the greased pan and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the nuts. Let cool for 5 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
