Heat the oil over medium-high heat, then add the halibut fillets and cook, turning occasionally, until the fish flakes easily when pierced, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer the fillings to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from the heat and transfer to serving plates.
